Born and raised in Florida, I currently live in Jacksonville where I recently graduated from the University of North Florida with a BFA in Photography. My love of photography developed out of my habit of people watching. Traveling as a young girl I became fascinated with different cultures and personalities represented in one city or town. It wasn't until college that I discovered photography and the ability to document people all over the world. In the summer of 2012, a once-in-a-lifetime study-abroad trip to Italy gave me the opportunity to experience a culture I had only studied. While there, I produced a photographic series illustrating the Italian people and tourists who utilize Rome’s intricate public transportation system. My most recent projects include documenting the mudding subculture and a series I call "Self-Motivated" in which I document a person's profession and their hobby, and interview them about what keeps them motivated to continue their hobby.
Hi Casey ... you are not alone. A LOT of people in our family are sarcastic and we are a great bunch of procrastinators. I have a great sense of humor, too. I laugh at all my own jokes ... and you must admit your Mother is pretty funny! Well, I would love to see some more of your photos posted ... it is great to see you on Facebook, so now I can follow your BLOG as well! Love, Cousin Roberta
